The Battery and South Cove Park:
New York, NY

by | Apr 13, 2018 | 0 comments

The Battery (formerly known as Battery Park) is a beautiful waterfront park on the Southern tip of Manhattan with gardens and paths and a playground (the park is scheduled for a huge renovations project). The Battery is adjacent to the Staten Island Ferry Terminal. It features the amazing Seaglass Carousel and the ferries to the Statue of Liberty and Ellis Island leave from there. Castle Garden, the first immigrant Depot is also located in the Battery. Castle Island took in immigrants even before Ellis Island did.

The Battery offers breathtaking views of the Statue of Liberty and the Hudson River. Walking alongside the River is amazing. Battery Pak merges with South Cove Park which has a pier and walkway with awesome views.
