We had an awesome day at The Castle Fun Center. The last time I’d visited was many years ago. Since then they’ve added so many new rides, activities and games.
There are 3 different go cart tracks, a mini figure eight one for children five years old and over 42”, there is the ¼ mile adult track that can be ridden in a single or double seater, and then there is the slick track. The concrete on the slick track is highly polished and slippery. The Slick track is a real challenge and can only be used by 14 year olds and up who are at least 54” tall.
There are a few fun rides at the Castle. There is the Swing Ride, the Spinning bumper cars; bumper cars with a twist (and turn). If you bump into someone else’s sensors on the side of their bumper car they spin around. There are batting cages, a rock climbing wall, the Free Fall Ride and the terrifying Dragon Frenzy 360 that spins, you got it, 360 degrees. Definitely not for the faint of heart.
There is also an indoor roller skating rink, laser tag and many interesting arcades to choose from. Ballocity is the best ball zone I’ve seen so far. It has excellent shooting, blowing and throwing activities.
The two mini golf courses are exceptional. We had a blast going through all the interesting stations. Some of the holes go through the famed three story castle, a dark cave, the fire breathing dragon and above and below all sorts of interesting objects and scenes. Mini golf at the Castle is available from May-October weather permitting.
Most activities are half price on Saturday and Sunday mornings from 10 a.m.-12 noon. The park is generally less full at that time and you can manage to do lots of activities. If you begin an activity before noon at half price (like mini golf) you can still continue after until you are done.
