While browsing through Google Maps looking for a park to visit one afternoon, I was taken by the location of the Riverfront Park and Vincent A. Clark Park in Stony Point. I loved the idea of the park being right by the river with a bit of a cove-feeling at the Vincent A. Clark Park.

The Vincent A. Clark Park is a small park on the left, right before entering Grassy Point Road which is right on the water.

The park has a small playground, swings, some picnic tables, grilling stations, a large picnic shelter with lots and lots of picnic tables, a boat launch ramp and beautiful views of the water and mountains.

Riverfront Park located over Grassy Point Road is a gated park which has a playground, a grassy area, picnic tables and grill stations scattered about. A large picnic shelter with picnic tables is also present at this park. When we visited there was a group celebrating an outdoor birthday party in the picnic area (permit is needed for groups). There is also a boardwalk and sandy areas by the river and views of the neighboring marina, the Hudson River and surrounding mountains.
