West Nyack Hamlet Playground:
West Nyack, NY

I noticed West Nyack Hamlet Playground recently when I was driving on Route 59East just minutes from the Palisades Mall. The park caught my eye and I looked it up on Google Maps and decided to visit the park today.

The park is located right across the Post Office. When we visited the street was closed due to construction so we parked outside a store nearby store and walked to the park. (The parking lot at the park has signs designating the parking spots for local residents.

The park seems to be brand new with a gated in playground. The playground has climbing structures, merry go round, swings and a number of interesting play elements.

In front of the playground there is a gazebo with a bench as well as a Memorial for Firefighters.

Behind the playground are some mechanical exercise equipment and a short walking path and bridge through wetlands. As we were walking through, we heard frogs croaking and spotted a dear relaxing on the grassy area.

The park was empty for much of the time we were there. I’m not sure if that is because it is new, because of the construction, or maybe because I did not post it yet😊
