Breakwater Park located on the shore of Lake Pontchartrain in the West End of New Orleans is a waterfront park on a peninsula of land with grassy areas a pathway and benches scattered about.
We visited to watch sunset one evening during our trip to New Orleans. We enjoyed views of the Causeway, the longest continuous bridge in the world, stretching from one side of the lake to the other.
The tip of the Peninsula known as The Point was closed for repairs but in any case we really enjoyed the relaxing park.
