 Salford, UK

Broughton Park is a haven of nature with a lake and playground surrounded by residential streets. There are many ways to access the park. The residential streets on all sides of the park have entrances allowing access to it. The entrances are walking paths between houses on streets such as Old Hall Road, Brantwood Road, New Hall Road and Waterpark Road. There is no parking lot but Okeover Road ends by the park and vehicles can drive up to the entrance and perhaps park there.

The park features a serene lake in the center with walking paths surrounding it. There is a variety of water fowl there at any given time. In addition to the ducks and geese we spotted some turtles sunning themselves on a branch when we were there.

The enclosed colorful playground in the Clowes Park area is a big draw for the neighborhood children. There are swings, slides and a variety of climbing structures. The many benches are generally occupied by the adults supervising the children. There are additional climbing elements for older children on the grass outside the enclosed playground.
