It seems Google Maps did not take us to the official entrance of Cascade Park. Across the street from the Cascade Lodge is a stone sign leading from the street down steps to the water, with large rocks and swimming areas in the beautiful Pemigewasset River.
We couldn’t find the place to park so we went down Morris Street turned right at the end and parked in a lot behind the buildings. That is where we found a gated-in playground, not part of an attraction, but by a park; and it was local in the Lincoln area.
There was a path lead from the parking lot down to the River. The river was very full due to the many recent rainfalls. We enjoyed stone stepping and relaxing on the large rocks in the water.
Although I’m not sure the playground is actually considered part of the park we enjoyed ourselves at the less busy area of the Pemigewasset River.
It seems that tubes can be rented at Lin-wood Equipment Rental (121 Main St, North Woodstock, NH 03262) for $5 and can be enjoyed in the river at the park.
