Time definitely flies when you are having fun. We couldn’t believe how quickly the two hours passed during our Experience Squam boat trip with Cynthia O’Leary on her 23’ Sea Ray Bow-Rider. My children said the boating trip ranked on the top of the list of fun things we did during our trip to the White Mountains in New Hampshire. Cynthia is a master tour guide with 11 years of taking satisfied customers out onto the lake. Polite and pleasant, she makes all her clients feel comfortable and at home on the boat. The best part of the trip was that Cynthia is intimately familiar with Lake Squam and all the top places to enjoy. The boat is large, clean and comfortable. It can accommodate up to twelve guests.
There is a variety of tour options to choose from. The tours can be customized to the clients preference. You can either speed around the lake or putter along. If you prefer, you can anchor in quiet coves or off sandy beaches or you can swim and jump off the boat. There are options to view wildlife, tour historic Church Island and On Golden Pond movie sites. You can do a longer trip with a cookout on one of the many islands. There are also options to Cruise at sunset, or star gaze at night.
We chose the all-around Essence of Squam Tour. We got to see the sites of the Squam with explanations from Cynthia while we headed over to the amazing “Jumping Rock”. It was an experience we won’t forget so soon. Jumping from the rock into the approximately 20 foot deep lake was exhilarating. After we all had our share of jumping we continued on to one of the many islands and found an empty place to enjoy playing in the water and swimming. Before we knew it, it was time to head back for Cynthia to be in time for her next clients. We left reluctantly while at the same time discussing how we really need to come back very soon.
