As far as the eye can see there is water, water of Lake Pontchartrain. Lakeshore Park offers this clear and endless view of the lake. The views of the lake continue on in both directions along Lakeshore Drive.

We headed to Lakeshore Park and stopped at the water and walked along the path that has benches every little while. After sitting and enjoying the endless blue of the lake we continued driving down Lakeshore Drive and continued to enjoy the views from our car. Down the road we stopped at the small playground (on the other side of Lakeshore Drive) with picnic tables. We spotted the Mardis Gras Fountain down the road and many nice grassy areas with benches or picnic tables.
