North Gate to Bulldog Canyon OHV Area:
Fort McDowell

As we were driving down N Bush Highway on the way from to Canyon Lake from Phoenix, we couldn’t help admiring the surrounding mountains and the many many saguaro cacti on the side of the road. I really wanted to stop and enjoy the view (and of course snap some pictures).

When we saw the sign of the parking lot for the Bulldog Canyon OHV area we realized we found the perfect spot to stop. The parking lot leads to a path for atv’s and the like to drive (permit required). There are hiking paths in the area that also lead to the canyon that are accessed through Usery Pass Road which is a side street off N Bush Highway.
