Parc National du Mont-Tremblant:
Lac-Supérieur, QC

Mont Tremblant National Park is a magnificent haven of nature. Unfortunately, people often miss this beautiful National Park by focusing on the Mont Tremblant Resort Mountain and its hype. The National Park, located in the northeast of Mont-Tremblant, covers 1,510.1 square kilometers (583.1 sq mi). Aside from its beautiful views and many hiking paths, the site offers a playground, boat rental and bike rental.

The activities at the National Park are very well priced (as opposed to the more touristy pricing at the Resort).

We spent a day at Mont Tremblant National Park when we were in the area. Just entering the National Park flooded us with raw beauty. We pulled over at a picnic area near a beautiful creek to enjoy lunch. After finishing our lunch and dipping our feet into the cool water we headed to the bike and boat rentals.

Some family members opted for bikes while others decided to enjoy a boat ride with the younger children on the picturesque lake. We chose an interesting paddle boat with four seats. The boat had two ski like gliders on the bottom to help move it along. I’d never seen such a boat before.  The boat rental also offered kayaks and SUPs for rent.

Our next stop was the playground near the beach area. There are fun climbing structures and many picnic tables in that area.

The weather was overcast but we really wanted to see some more of the Park’s beauty. We asked one of the guides for a short hike that is rewarding. He recommended the hike to the Chute du Diable (Devil’s Falls) so we drove off to the parking lot at the trailhead.  The Chute du Diable hike was just what we were looking for: a short hike along the water with an overlook across a huge magnificent waterfall at the end.

After that hike we headed back with the feeling that we spent a rewarding fun day in surrounded by undisturbed nature.
