The Pharmacy Museum in New Orleans is a very popular attraction. Located in the French Quarter not far from the Mississippi River.
The Museum is at the location of the first licensed Pharmacy in the United States in the early 1800s. It has exhibits of all types of medications, medical equipment and displays of pharmacy related practices. The two-floor museum aims to preserve the rich history of past and present Pharmacy practices and healthcare in Louisiana. No reservations are needed in order to visit the Museum. The tours are self-guided.
