There are playgrounds all over-a dime a dozen. Most are average at best. That is why when we come across an especially interesting and exciting playground, I love to share it.

Regatta Playground located in the South Mountain Recreation Complex adjacent to the lake and Essex County Paddle Boating and just around the corner from the Turtle Back Zoo.

The focal point of the playground is a huge climbing structure in the shape of a huge ship with ramps, climbing structures and slides in all directions. Keeping with the boat theme there are additional smaller boat/climbing structures for the younger children. There are additional fun elements scattered around such as large rock like climbing structure and a faux log to climb through. There is an area with a variety of swings.

The many chairs and benches all around make for a comfortable place for adults to sit while watching their children.
