Since the gondola was temporarily closed during our visit to Mont Tremblant this summer we wanted to take a hike with some pretty scenery even though we couldn’t hike at the summit. We took the Reusseux Trail, a loop trail, which begins at the Mont Tremblant Resort right near the Luge.
After a few short minutes of walking the trail leads into the woods and past a beautiful waterfall. There were benches placed near the waterfall where visitors can sit and enjoy the view. The trail continued a bit uphill with some wooden steps aiding the incline. There were pockets of space between the trees which allowed for scenic views of the resort and the mountains and lake beyond it.
The trail continued over a wooden bridge which crossed over the Luge Track (The Luge carts are 3 wheeled carts that can be driven down the track). The trail then led deeper into the woods where we saw parts of the Tonga Lumina props (The Tonga Lumina is a nighttime sensory walk in the forest). We later crossed over to another trail which heads back to the Resort. We hiked alongside a babbling stream, crossed over bridges which brought us back to another area in the Resort Village. The hike we took was not especially long nor arduous. It was the perfect blend of a bit of hiking and nature.
