Nachtegalenpark… an oasis of natural beauty in the city of Antwerp. There is plenty of grass and trees that bloom beautifully in the spring and summer. There are tree lined paths to take a refreshing walk with benches to rest on along the way. 

The playground, set on a bed of beach sand, appears to have been redone in the recent past. In addition to the regular swings and slides there are so many  interesting activities. There are activities for both older and younger children. Our family favorite was the double zip line. We had so much fun racing down the line before running to bring it back to the next person on line.

There is also a small animal enclosure with some farm animals for the children to enjoy. There are goats and deer that often come close to the fence for the children to see up close. The park is pleasurable for both adults and children.
