The weather was glorious for an October day in Belgium. We wanted to take advantage of the beautiful day and spend it outdoors. De Schorre was the perfect blend of fun outdoor activities for the older and younger children in our party.
We took a tram and then bus from Antwerp to the De Schorre park in Boom. When we arrived at the park we walked through the beautifully landscaped park to the boathouse. We rented pedal boats which we enjoyed on the small lake. There were sprinklers in the middle for those who were brave enough to get close enough. We circled around an island which has a mini golf course on it. There was a pedestrian bridge above the lake where many people enjoyed standing and watching the boats go under.
In true Belgian fashion, the playground at De Schorre is large with many exciting elements. There is a separate area for little children, very tall slides and a zip line among many other fun activities.
Additional Points of interest at the park are the Magical Troll Forest and the Barefoot Path. There is an Adventure Tower Intense and the unique One World Bridge.
We really enjoyed our time at De Schorre and wished we had more time to enjoy even more activities at the park.
