We stopped for gas at the Conoco gas station at the Wheeler Junction across Copper Mountain. As we were waiting for the tank to fill up, I noticed a creek right behind the gas station. The nearby mountains rose up behind the picturesque babbling brook. I went to see it up close. The Tenmile Creek looked so refreshing and full of clear mountain water. A little down the way I noticed a bridge crossing the creek (I believe it is part of the TenMile Rec Path). What caught my eye most was a sign posted that the area was designated as a picnic area as a tribute to the Special Olympics and the 20 year partnership with Copper Mountain.

This area behind the gas station is a real meaningful gem filled with natural beauty.
