The Snowshed Adventure Center is a great day trip for adults and children of all ages. Most of the attractions are in close proximity of each other, which works out well, because the older and younger children can split up without being far apart from each other.
The Beast Mountain Coaster is by far one of the more exciting attractions. It is a 4,800 foot long alpine coaster running through the woods with some open areas with views of the surrounding mountains. The thrilling twists and turns make the Coaster an all-time favorite.
You can’t help but crane your neck as the zippers zip down the dual zip line and over Snowshed Pond to the landing pad. The Sky ropes course is a four story high ropes course with 42 obstacles. Below the ropes course is the 5,000 square foot Amaze’n Maze, in which you try to find your way out of the confusing turns.
The 30’ Freefall Jump Tower looked very exciting but was closed when we were there. The Soaring Eagle takes riders for a zooming 30 mile an hour glide back and then forth on the 600 foot long track. The Trampoline Jump has room for four bungee jumpers simultaneously while the Alpine Tubing allows the little ones to enjoy gliding down the hill on a tube. The playground is centrally situated between all the other activities. The Downpour Derby and Water Wars are fun water activities.
The Woodward Wrecktangle is one of the best Ninja Courses we’ve come across. There are many challenging obstacles to complete and at the end you are rewarded with a mini zip line.
In addition to the activities at the base of the mountain there is also an option to rent boats at Snowshed Lake, There are ATV tours and guided Rock Climbing. The Chairlift Rides take passengers up the mountain where you can either take a hike or ride back down. The mountain is extremely popular with mountain bikers and mountain bikes and gear can rented there. The Mountain biking is something I’d love to try on a future visit.
